What it is:

The Wealth Management Summer Analyst Program is a ten week program that gives participants the chance to work at Morgan Stanley and get a taste of what being a Full-Time Analyst is like.  The participants will learn about wealth management and the services and products that Morgan Stanley offers to its clients.  You receive one week of training followed by nine weeks working with a specific group.  You will either be placed on the Capital Markets track, which gives you the opportunity to work directly with Financial Advisors from all around the United States, or the Investment Strategies, Solutions, and Product Management track, which focuses on strategy, business development, research, investment products, and marketing.

What you’ll do:

Training Program

The one week training program will give you the necessary skills to work in Wealth Management.  There is a series of speakers, and there are plenty of networking opportunities.

Capital Markets

The Capital Markets track will give you the opportunity to develop trade ideas and directly interact with Financial Advisors.  You will focus primarily on equity and fixed income capital markets.

Investment Strategies, Solutions, and Product Management

In this track, you will work to develop marketing plans for Financial Advisors.  You will work in many different fields such as financial planning, business development, marketing/digital strategy, and field communications.

Qualifications:

  • You must be a junior or sophomore at an accredited four-year college pursuing an undergraduate degree.
  • You must have at least a 3.2 GPA.
  • You must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills that allow you to manage your time effectively.
  • You must be able to work with a team.
